Seventh graders show off their coat racks

Check out our talented Bruins!

Students in Rich Uggen's 7th Grade Engineering and Technology learned about many common hand tools.  In this photo, students show off the coat rack they constructed.

According to Mr. Uggen, "No powered machines were used to make the coat racks. They created a drawing of their project, used a backsaw to cut their board, bored holes for the pegs with a brace, and used an antique egg beater style drill to make the mounting holes. They sanded by hand, applied a natural stain, and then put two coats of polyurethane on their projects. Nice work, 7th graders!"
