Blackford County Schools would like to welcome new Assistant Elementary Principal Erin Roush. Mrs. Roush will be a part of the elementary team serving Montpelier Elementary and Blackford Intermediate Schools.
Roush, formerly Erin Payne, is a native daughter who graduated from Blackford High School in 2006.
Upon graduation, Roush attended Ball State University, where she obtained dual majors in Elementary Education and Special Education. In 2010, she received her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision.
Roush has worked as both an elementary and Title I SEL teacher at Bluffton-Harrison Elementary School in Bluffton.
“I am excited to have Erin Roush join our leadership team,” said BCS Elementary Principal Jim Fox. “Her skill set and background in Elementary Education will help strengthen our BCS team. I can’t wait for her to meet all of the incredible Montpelier families and students. We are excited to get to work and start the 2021 school year!”
Roush and her husband, Travis, reside in Warren and are the parents of three children. She is also the eldest daughter of long-time Blackford County School Board President John Payne.
