If you have documentation of the vaccination, send that in to the school asap.

We have 2 very important messages for Blackford Primary School. The first is to make all of our families aware that tonight is our first food pantry event from Second Harvest. It is open to any family with a student that attends BPS. The doors open at 5:00 p.m. The second piece of information to pass along is about drop off procedures. Beginning tomorrow, August 13, parents will not be permitted to walk their students to the classroom. No one will be allowed past the main lobby. Please allow your student that bit of independence and help them prepare for tomorrow.

It's Day 2 and we're off to a great start at BCS!
Meet our top-notch 3rd grade team at BIS. (From left) Emily Stephens, Amanda Johnson, Elizabeth Rittichier, Carma Reidy, Rachael Shadiow, Kari Crouse, and Elizabeth Kauerauf. Have a great school year, ladies!

To show his appreciation to his staff and colleagues, BPS Principal Craig Campbell served lunch! Staff enjoyed pulled pork and smoked mac and cheese personally prepared by Mr. Campbell! Yum!

Today was Water Day! This is a PTO fundraiser where students can purchase sponges to throw at teacher and staff. The class that collected the most got to dump water buckets on Mr. Campbell and Miss Rogers!!
According to Miss Rogers, "We had a tie with classes so Mrs. Thurman's class and Mrs. Hiatt's class got to soak us with buckets of water! Then the rest of the classes each got their turn to soak us with sponges and water crayons! I'm so glad it was hot this morning!"
Thank you BPS PTO! What a fun day!

Congratulations to our Jennerjahn Most Improved Students for 2024!
During last night's celebration, students were honored for their academic achievements such as grades, test scores, attendance, conduct, and effort put forth.
The highlight of the evening was when the student's teacher and/or principal shared what made these students so special. Attributes such as grit, determination, and a positive attitude were just some of the words used to describe the students accomplishments.
For their efforts, the students were treated to a banquet and gift from the Jennerjahn family.
Most Improved Students for 2024 include: Eli Lizaragga, 2nd grade at BPS; Damian Wilson, 3rd, Lane Ross, 4th, Jesse Johnson, 5th, and Ella Whetzel, 6th grade at BIS; Ariana Smith, 7th, and Lonnie Bonewit, 8th grade at BJSHS.
Thank you to Ruth Jennerjahn and the Jennerjahn family for continuing to sponsor this banquet and celebrate BCS students!
